Hurricane Helene 2024

Good afternoon/morning/evening,

As many of you know, Hurricane Helene has caused severe devastation along the East Coast, particularly in the USA. My hometown in South Carolina, along with numerous other communities across SC, NC, GA, and TN, has been without power for days. Supplies in many of the stores serving these affected areas are nearly exhausted. With over 200 confirmed fatalities and more than 500 people still missing, this is the deadliest storm to strike the U.S. since Hurricane Katrina. The destruction in western North Carolina is unimaginable—many residents have lost everything and are left without power, water, cell service, or food, anxiously awaiting rescue.

Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers, especially as some members of our Extra Life community have been impacted by this tragedy.
